About Bright Choice
History
Bright Choice was established as “AstroStar” in October 1985 as a
not-for-profit, taxable subsidiary of Consolidated Electric Cooperative
(CEC) in order to bring affordable TV programming to rural consumers.
Internet access was added to Bright Choice’s offerings in November
1995. In October 1997, AstroStar’s name
was changed to Bright Choice
with the idea of creating a “Bright” family of products and services
in connection with Bright.Net.
Today
Bright Choice is primarily a dial-up & high speed (DSL, Wireless
& Satellite) Internet service provider who also offers web-hosting
services, and health monitoring services. The business operates out of
Mount Gilead and currently serves Coshocton, Crawford, Delaware, Huron,
Knox, Marion, Morrow, and Richland counties. Bright Choice's six
member team is dedicated to bringing you the best internet service in
North Central Ohio.
